• Through a week of ups and downs, the S&P 500 closed down 0.08%.

• The Census Bureau reported that new home sales plummeted 14.5% since last month and has fallen 13.3% since this time last year.

• Large-cap stocks outperformed small-cap stocks, while large-cap value stocks out performed large-cap growth stocks.

• The top performing sectors of the week were healthcare and utilities, the worst performing sectors were telecom and materials.

• For the 16th consecutive week of inflows, US equity mutual funds took in $3.1 billion for the week.

• Due to the tension between Ukraine and Russia, S&P downgraded Russia’s credit rating to a BBB- from a BBB.
